About the Role
We are looking for motivated students and early engineers who want to work at the intersection of agentic AI, open-source systems, and blockchain technology. As an intern, you will work directly with our founders and engineering team to build real features, contribute to open-source repositories, and explore new research directions. For candidates with strong research interest, there will be opportunities to co-develop papers for top-tier AI, ML, robotics, and systems conferences.
What You Will Work On
Depending on your skill set, you may work on:
● Developing open-source tools and frameworks that power our network
● Designing and running experiments in LLM evaluation, agent orchestration, or multi-agent systems
● Working on blockchain-related components such as web3 apps, data validation protocol, etc.
● Supporting research prototypes that can lead to conference submissions
● Opportunity to join & build core modules for OptimAI’s agentic AI system, including planning, reasoning, and long-context retrieval
● Helping scale our decentralized data and compute infrastructure
● Analyzing system performance and contributing to optimization and benchmarking
You Should Have
● Good background in at least one field: machine learning, deep learning, NLP, agentic AI, computer vision, distributed systems, or blockchain
● Strong programming skills in Python, Node.js, or Rust (one of these is enough)
● Curiosity and independence in problem-solving
● Ability to build fast and iterate with a startup mindset
● Passion for open source, research, or deep technical systems
● Previous research, personal projects, Kaggle work, or GitHub contributions are a plus
● Experience with LLMs, LangChain/LlamaIndex, or model fine-tuning is a strong advantage
● Experience with blockchain clients, smart contracts, or distributed networks is a plus
