The Office of External Relations is pleased to announce the selection of students for the AUN Summer Program 2024 at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
1. Program Information:
Theme: Climate Change: Impacts, Solutions, and Youth Engagement
Objectives:
- Provide opportunities for students from Southeast Asian countries to learn, exchange ideas, and share perspectives on climate change, its impacts, and response methods; contribute to raising environmental awareness and social responsibility among students; and encourage students to proactively initiate, contribute, and participate in sustainable development solutions in their countries and the region.
- Develop leadership skills, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and enhance understanding and respect for different cultures among participating students.
- Foster the development of an international cooperation network among youth in the region, promoting collaboration in addressing climate change and environmental issues.
- Contribute to the overall activities of the ASEAN University Network; demonstrate responsibility and readiness for cooperation in training the younger generation and the strengths of VNU-HCM in research and education related to the environment, climate change, and sustainable development.

2. Duration: From July 7, 2024, to July 20, 2024.
3. Main Venue: VNU-HCM.
4. Costs:
- Students are exempt from the program participation fee, accommodation, meals during the program, and transportation costs within the program.
- Students bear other expenses themselves.
5. Quota: 05 students.
6. Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate students currently studying at member institutions and units affiliated with VNU-HCM.
- Excellent academic performance, with preference given to students with academic awards.
- Proficiency in English.
- Leadership potential, teamwork skills, and good communication skills.
- Preference for students with experience in extracurricular activities and cultural exchanges, especially those related to ASEAN.
- Commitment to participate in all program activities; compliance with program regulations; and support for international students participating in the program as assigned by the organizers.
7. Application Documents:
- English CV.
- Student Information Form (attached form).
- Vietnamese academic transcript certified by the educational institution.
- Proof of English proficiency.
- Proof of leadership experience, extracurricular activities, and cultural exchanges.
- Proof of academic and extracurricular awards (if any).
8. Application Process: Students should send their soft copy applications to the email: internationalrelations@hcmus.edu.vn by 12:00 PM on June 5, 2024. After the deadline, the Office of External Relations will not accept any applications.
