OFFICIENCE and FOSSASIA cordially invite you to participate in the Open Tech Summit Vietnam, which will take place on October 11 and 12 at the OFFICIENCE headquarters located at 16A Le Hong Phong, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.
The “Open Tech Summit Vietnam 2019” is a conference that focuses on top technology trends and provides a platform for networking with both local and international tech speakers. The event is designed to help young professionals enhance their skills through hands-on workshops.
Previously known as GNOME.Summit, the Open Tech Summit has been a well-known series of open technology events where speakers and participants discuss new technology solutions and trends worldwide. After its first organization in Vietnam in 2009, FOSSASIA has brought this event to various cities across continents, including Singapore, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Shenzhen, Hyderabad, and Berlin. It's returning to Vietnam in 2019.
At this year's Open Tech Summit, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to speakers introduce their latest open technology projects and contributions. Participate in workshops covering topics such as data analysis with Python, STEM, Robotics, Open Hardware, Git, Open Source AI, Blockchain, and more. Engage in practical hands-on activities and learn from tech companies.

Data analysis with Python: Exploring different data types, data preparation, basic statistics, creating meaningful visualizations, and predicting data trends.
STEM, Robotics, and Open Hardware: Building experiments with real hardware and learning to create robots.
Git hands-on workshop: Learning about Git, creating appealing websites using GitHub, and participating in the CodeHeat competition.
Open Source AI: Building a chatbot, a smart speaker that plays music from various sources like radio, YouTube, or USB, and accessing locally available music.
Blockchain: Understanding what blockchain is, its technology applications, potential use cases, and how to keep up with trends.
Engaging short presentations: A series of short, engaging 5-minute presentations with 20 automatically changing slides every 15 seconds.
