  • Duration: From September 1 to December 21, 2023.

  • Number of positions available: Up to 3.

  • Support from the program includes:

    • Full tuition fee coverage;

    • Various courses to choose from;

    • Intensive Korean language course;

    • Cultural exchange activities;

    • Buddy Program;

    • Foreign Language Peer Tutoring Scholarship opportunities.

  • Requirements:

    • University students who have completed at least one semester;

    • GPA of at least 2.5/4 (or equivalent);

    • Language proficiency: For courses taught in English: Students must meet one of the following conditions: 

      • IELTS certificate ≥ 6.0; 

      • TOEFL certificate: TOEFL ITP or PBT ≥ 550; 

      • TOEFL CBT ≥ 213; 

      • TOEFL iBT ≥ 80. 

      • TOEIC certificate ≥ 750; 

      • Confirmation letter from a university professor guaranteeing English proficiency. 

    • For courses taught in Korean: Students must meet one of the following conditions: 

      • TOPIK level 3 or higher; 

      • KLAT 150+ (B2); 

      • Fifteen hours of Korean language courses (4-5 classes) at the university level (e.g., Korean 101, 102, 201, 202, 301); 

      • HUFS's 4-credit Korean language program; 

      • Confirmation letter from a university professor guaranteeing Korean proficiency.

  • Application documents:

    • An essay introducing oneself and study plan (in English or Korean);

    • A transcript (original in English or a certified English translation);

    • A student certificate from the university (in English or a certified English translation);

    • A copy of the English/Korean language certificate or introduction letter;

    • A copy of the passport information page;

    • A passport-size photo with a white background;

    • A dormitory application form (if students wish to stay in the dormitory);

    • A health certificate with a doctor's confirmation (applicable only for students applying for dormitory). 

    • Note: Students should keep a digital copy of their application documents for online submission to HUFS if nominated.

  • Deadline for application submission: Until April 12, 2023.

Application process: To apply for the student exchange program, please submit hard copies of your application documents to the Office of International Relations located at Room F.105, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, Ward 4, District 5. Additionally, please send soft copies of the same documents to the email address internationalrelations@hcmus.edu.vn. Please note that there is a non-refundable application fee of 200,000 VND.
