Due to our continued growth, we require a GIS Data Integration Analyst to join our Systems Implementation Team and collaborate with our engineering teams to configure, customise and implement our bespoke pipeline integrity management software into the existing systems of our clients.
The role will involve working with and the software configuration team to support the elements of data integration, programming, installation. Providing training to the end user, and defining individual customer workflows and required documentation may also be required.
Although based in our Viet Nam office in Ho Chi Minh, the role will have strong links to our Systems Implementations teams in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Lingen (Germany) which may involve travel there, and also to client locations, so applicants be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally if / when required.
GIS Data Integration Analyst
Responsibilities
- Support of data management and data integration services within our Integrity Solutions team and under the supervision of the NIMA Team Leader
- Apply knowledge of GIS data and data structures as it relates to the operational, regulatory, integrity management and risk management of pipeline networks
- Ensure data quality, data consistency and data integrity
- Extract, transform, load of data relevant for pipeline networks
- Conduct GIS maintenance activities on data level
- Conduct presentations and trainings on data management and data integration, ESRI product suite as well as Safe’s FME to internal staff and customers
- Point of contact for technical support requests with regard to pipeline data management and data models
Skills Requirements
- University degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science or similar
- 2+ year experience within the area of spatial data management
- Excellent English communications skills (equivalent to IELTS 6.5+)
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS product suite (ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, Desktop, and Pro)
- Experience with database design (ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases and Microsoft SQL Server)
- Experience of linear referencing concepts within GIS
- Experience with FME Desktop
- Experience with FME Server
- Experience in creating FME workbenches
Skills Preferred
- Experience with the ESRI ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) tools and the Utility Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)
- Programming experience with Python or JavaScript
- ESRI Technical Certifications
- Working knowledge in the area of technical product support for software products as well as quality assurance processes
