Fully funded PhD position in Computer Science at University of Arkansas & University of Houston

1. University of Arkansas: 
Three fully funded PhD positions are available in Computer Vision, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligent (AI) at Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering at University of Arkansas under the supervision of Dr. Ngan Le. 
Requirements:
1. Have good fundamental in computer vision and machine learning
2. Good at programming and familiar to python 
3. Familiar to some deep learning flatforms like Tensorflow, mxnet, pytorch
4. The student is preferred to have TOEFL with minimum score 79, or o IELTS with minimum score of 6.5. GRE with minimum requirement at 146 (verbal),157(quantitative) and 3.5(writing)
5. Master (MS) degree are welcome but Bachelor (BS) degree is good enough to apply. Recommendation letters will be required by the department but they are not the key to consider to be accepted. All candidates will be interviewed in person. 

If your English score is lower than the requirement, don’t be worried. You can improve your English while being here.

2. University of Houston
The University of Houston is looking for 3 Ph.D candidates in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for the Spring 2020 semester starting on January 24, 2020. An ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
●  Have a strong mathematics foundation (algebra, calculus, probability, statistics). Knowledge in optimization is an advantage
●  Proficient in at least one programming language (C++, Python, Matlab, Java, etc)
●  Able to read and understand technical papers in English
●  Passionate about machine learning and artificial intelligence
●  Willing to take the required tests (Toefl, Gre) to apply for the Ph.D. program

Successful candidates will receive graduate assistantships or fellowships that cover the tuition fee and living expenses, and work in Houston Learning Algorithms Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Hien Van Nguyen.
