Prof. Hoang Duong Tuan received the Diploma (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from Odessa State University, Ukraine, in 1987 and 1991, respectively.
He spent nine academic years in Japan as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic-Mechanical Engineering, Nagoya University, from 1994 to 1999,
and then as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Toyota Technological Institute, Nagoya, from 1999 to 2003.
He was a Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, University of New South Wales, from 2003 to 2011. He is currently a Professor with the
School of Electrical and Data Engineering, University of Technology Sydney. He has been involved in research in the areas of optimization, control, signal processing,
wireless communication, and biomedical engineering for more than 25 years.
