Self assessment for AUN-QA
Self assessment report (SAR) of the Bachelor Program of Information Technology, University of Science (HCMUS), Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC), is one of the first efforts to bring the Bachelor Program of Information Technology of the University of Science to become the certified program in ASEAN.
From September 2008, in addition to the preparation for the AUN self-assessment at the university level, the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) has established a group of faculty members who undertake activities involving to the program-level self-assessment. The group is working under the supervision of VNU-HCMC Board of Presidents, HCMUS Board of Rectors, and is directed by the Board of Deans of the Faculty of Information Technology, and also co-ordinates with other offices in HCMUS. The group also receives advice, training, and support from VNU-HCMC Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment, HCMUS Center for Educational Data and Quality Assurance.
The group includes 8 subgroups responsible for researching & studying about AUN criteria, collecting facts, and writing the report for self-assessment activities.
From March 2009, the group has been collecting facts and writing the first draft of SAR. From May to June 2009, we received feedbacks on SAR from HCMUS Board of Rectors, VNU-HCMC Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment, HCMUS Center for Educational Data and Quality Assurance. The group has edited and finished the final report in October 2009.
