The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) is calling for application. This is a prestigious yet competitive scholarship which aims to attract the best and brightest students from all over the word to prsue their PhD studies in Hong Kong. Successful applicants will be provided with the following package by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)
- HKPFS Applicants: Nomonated by HKBU and awarded by RGC. Approx. HKD 500,000
- HKPFS Applicants: Nomonated by HKBU but not awarded by RGC. Approx. HKD 250,000

Application Process
An initial application should be made through the Online Application System at the RGC's website. After obtaining the official reference number from the RGC Online Application System, a full application should then be submitted to the Graduate School, HKBU through the online Application system.
Interested students are encouraged to contact potential faculty members to doscuss research plans and topic AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
Application Deadline
- HKBU-CS internal deadline: 1 October 2017 (first batch); 1 November 2017 (Second batch)
- Initial application to RGC: 1 December 2017 ai Hong Kong Time 12:00 noon (GMT+8 hours)
- Full application to HKBU: 1 December 2017 at HOng KOng Time 23:59 (GMT+8 hours)
* The result of the HKPFS 2018/9 will be anounced by late March/ April 2018.
